For over 40 years, EaglePicher has provided power for Electric Vehicles in space and on the ground. EaglePicher silver zinc batteries powered the Lunar Rover, as it transported Astronauts across the surface of the moon in 1969. 1n 1971, the Silver Eagle, an experimental electric vehicle engineered and built by EaglePicher, established 21 new world speed records.

Today, EaglePicher applies our total system knowledge to deliver the best solution.  EaglePicher combines experience in “space age technology” with the most advanced chemistries available.  EaglePicher has one of the few locations in the US to build Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries from powder to cell manufacturing to packaging.

Li-Ion Expertise: EaglePicher is an active member of the National Alliance for Advanced Transportation Batteries (“NAATBatt”) - a not-for-profit industry consortium of more than 50 corporations, associations and research institutions dedicated to making the United States a world leader in the manufacture of advanced Li-Ion battery cells for transportation applications.
